save the m30 bus!
in a couple of weeks the mta's m30 bus (route: between west 57th and 8th to east 72nd and york) will no longer be in service.
i know i'm not the only one who is upset about this, because i ride it every morning, and have heard many a complaint about it.
this morning, someone asked the bus driver to make an announcement over the loudspeaker; he didn't, but allowed her to take the phone and make it herself. she said, "we, the m30 riders, can save this bus!"
so call, fax, email or snail mail the mta, the straphangers campaign, your city councilmember, mayor bloomberg or anyone else you can think of... it can't hurt!

I agree!!!! I can't believe they're cutting this bus...I love my M30 and used to take it to and from work everyday. They say that those of us who live on the far Upper East side can take the M31 or take the M72 cross town to connect with another downtown bus line. We all know the M31 is always PACKED to the gills. In fact, my first commute last night without my M30 I waited for an M31 for 20 minutes before finally hopping on an M57 that came along only to connect with an M15 on First Ave that was PACKED with commuters. BOOOO MTA.
